so long never update my blog le.. (soli ya ah na, hehe..) think my last post was about the penang floorball trip, hmmm which was 3 months ago le.. =.=  ok la, think i will just continue where i left off.. update update abit lo..

 

yes, immediately after the penang trip was the 15 all-guys all-malaysian all-ntu-nians graduation trip.. sounds abit gay right 15 guys?? haha.. our trip was to macau--->zhuhai---->shenzhen---->hongkong---->shenzhen.. hmmm it was my second trip to macau-hk in as many months.. (went with caris theresa jv just 3 weeks before this trip i think..), but it was not important la, cos it is the people that u travel with which makes every trip different and special in its own way haha.. hmmm the last time we focused more on sightseeing, but this time it was all about finding nice local food, led by our tourguides - kyo and junyaw.. entertainment was 24/7 as we have our lovely mickey with us, never a boring second with hh around, haha.. mo nai looo~~ the rest who went who also provided so much entertainment included jeff, dot, winnie, smboy(yi tong qu jiao you~~), sean, soloman, hongcheong, kokhon, KE, vj, yuxin.. yi tiao long loo~~

 

after the trip, didnt have much time to stay back in kl cos have to attend interview in sin.. 20th june was the day.. n it turned out to be a very nice day as i made it thru the 4 rounds of interview to get into SIA, haha.. hmm as most of u guyshave already knew, yes, as a AIR STEWARD, haha.. aiya just try for fun la.. how some of my friends reacted to this shocking news?? 'har, the interviewers blind ar, or they forgot to put on their glasses?' haha... ling jie!! (dun intro u pilots le, haha..) even my dad n mum got a shock lo haha.. but since got in le, then dun waste liao la, just try for 2-3 years first.. can get paid to travel around the world wo, dai la~~ salary still not bet too, can use to pay off my $40000 study loan lo, sien haiz.. :(

 

17th july was my first day of work!! hmmm first day of training to be exact, as we have to be trained for 2.5 months before we can start flying.. my batch number ----> 987.. training was fun as my batch mates were all very fun n active, i more quiet lo, as usual.. lead by our BT mis Gillan and my 'captain andy lau smoke king' Steven, training was always fun and interesting.. made alot of news friends here too:) got our singer Sasa, our soon-to-be IFS Edina Tjoniko, our funniest gal on earth mis Herna/Yuni, our lovely Fe Ching, our weight check gal Pamela, our accountant Poison Ivy, our YongChowWin serene, our street wise guy Aaron, our captain steven's gf Amelda, our designer Celina, our baby Jane(18 years old only!!!), our tamama Shirlene, our Jojo Joanna, our Ade adeline, and last but not least - Mr Kelvin.. 18 of us in total, 2.5 months just flew by with a blink of an eye.. 3rd of oct was our graduation, and now we are all soaring/blurring(blurring is for me n yuni, haha..) FSS/FS in the air le.. :)

 

during this 2.5 months, me n kyo have started our own tuition agency too - HomeTuitionCare. it is more like a franchise from Skan Yong's tuition agency in malaysia, which was a very big success.. we now have a malaysia branch and a singapore branch le haha.. can consider international company le right? haha.. it was really a very nice experience starting up this company, wasn't easy at all as i had to juggle between my full time job n this. But all the experiences gained was worthy.. all the sweat we had put in together was fun.. business is slowly improving, but at the same time i had also decided to leave as i'm not allowed to have a second job according to SIA company rules.. too bad but that's the way life is.. u cant get everything u want..

how is life as a FS? hmm so far so good lo, got a lousy first month roster, but 2nd month seems to be slowly improving.. so far, i've been to places like nagoya(with aaron), shanghai(with aaron), mumbai, adelaide(with yuni, haha!!), bali, Christchruch lo.. get to see many new places n new things, not bad lo.. next going to incheon and vancouver loo, hehe~~ time to learn a new sport - Skiing!!! duno whether will stay long term in this job la, but for now, just enjoy travelling around the world 2-3 years first lo.. nothing to lose right?

 

hmmm things i missed doing since started working is floorball n my track n field lo.. really no time to do any sports le lo.. even if have also too tired sometimes.. went back to ntu for some trainings with the guys, but always seem like Extra cos i'm the only non-ivp player there, haiz.. track n field also dun have anybody jio le, xiaobenxiang also quitted the school team even worse lo, haiz.. cos of work commitment, had to give up the chance to go Australia for APAC championships too, if not could have reunite with the penang n kl guys, fight for malaysia again, haiz.. but i think that is the sacrifice u have to make when u start working lo, u cant always have what u want, sometimes life forces u to do things that is not what u want the most, but u just have to do it to survive..

hmmm now i m staying in tampines lo(just 15 minutes from TSH), but actually when i m free, u would be able to find me at kahwai's/guan's place playing mahjong or DOTA, or mo nai hahahaha.. always feel very lonely staying in the east, not so many friends there, although still got simei, qiyu, tingyi, gerald etc la, but still.. 4 years living in boon lay sure more used to the surroundings there lo..

 

hmmm think that is all for my updates for these 3 months.. life is okay so far, always look on the bright side of life, n everything will be just fine, haha~~

22nd may 845pm, just crossed the singapore-malaysia border, but this was different compared to my other returns to malaysia.. this time, i carry an extra luggage - my stick bag, and it was a mass-crossing - 13 in total, who also carried 1 stick bag each.. think alot of ppl were wondering wat was inside our stick bags, cos most ppl in malaysia duno wat floorball is , maybe they think we got parang inside lo haha..

 

23rd may 700am, after many unwanted n unexpected delays, we finally reached penang, long long journey ar faint.. as the friendlies against the penang teams were scheduled on the following day, we had 1 free day to roam around the city.. which was very convenient, thanks to very nice planning by miss tien fun, hehe.. walked around the city, went to the Chocolate Boutique(Butik Coklat in malay), SUN YAT SEN's house(pinky's idea la, still need buy ticket to enter alamak), Pranglin Mall(Star bucks n Indiana Jones), Gurnay Drive n Plaza, then finally retreated to our Sunway Berjaya Hotel for the night..

 

24th may 845am, our chartered bus was waiting for us outside the hotel.. got the bus for a very cheap price thanks to edward(really the most helpful n nice guy i've ever met loh, thanks alot ya..), really saved us alot of trouble loh cos the Balik Pulau stadium was isolated on the other side of the island in a ulu ulu kampung area.. BUT, the court in Balik Pulau was really damn nice loh, the flooring n the lighting was just nice, court size was also just nice, perfect conditions for a nice friendly, hehe.. got to meet up with APAC guys (edward, jason, kuanyang, kenny, lincoln, Veron's #99 yeoh, henry, termin, bryan), but this time we were not playing on the same team le but were opponents.. enemies, haha.. played against INNEBANDY CO n CONTACT combine team in the morning n the Penang state team at night.. we won 7-4 morning n 2-1 at night, but could have easily lost both matches if not for jackie's heroics in goal loh.. we only had 9 guys for the 2nd match loh, run til wanna drop dead le loh, SPARTANS~~ aiya, kena cheated by deswyn leh, said he would be playing but in the end din come, haiz.. yes deswyn is the best center in the malaysia team, too bad we couldnt play against him loh, haiz.. after the 2 games, both teams exchanged gifts n took photos together..

 

25th may 845am, the gals took the bus back to Sin.. those who were taking flights back n those going back to kl hung around for the day.. overall a nice nice penang trip, hehe.. big big thanks to tien fun for organising such a nice trip n Edward for organising the stuff in penang too..

hmm the only disappointment for the trip was the asam laksa.. not that it wasnt nice la, but just that we ate so much til i had a bad bad stomchache during match day n struggled to even run during the game loh, hahaha.. lesson learnt -- no more asam laksa before game next time!! :)

yuhuu, will be going penang with NTU guys and gals for floorball friendly against penang combined clubs and state team this saturday.. so will be in penang til sunday then back to kl for 雪隆八独中运动会 from 26-28 may.. will be back in Sin for past vs present on 1st june loh..

shittttttt.. got stung by a bee yesterday arghhhhh..

 

walao, duno y my hall yesterday full of bees leh.. at least 7-8 loh.. but only my floor (level 5) had this problem, why why why?? 1 bee even flew into my bro's room loh, sien diao.. they seem attracted to the light la, cos after we turned off the light it flew out straight away..

 

okay, actually bees wont stinng u for no reason de.. unless u step on them or roughly handle them (according to wikipedia).. hmmm.. from morning til night, i went in the toilet which had at least 7-8 bees inside, but everytime ok 1 wor, the bees dun kacau me, i dun kacau them, everybodyh happy happy.. until i decided to sleep at 2am, then got 1 silly bee wanted to play a prank on me =.= i just finished brushing n was about to leave when it landed on my back, gg.. at first i tot it would fly away immediately, but when i look at the mirror, it seems like he is contented by slowly crawling around my back loh, shittt..

 

my first attempt was to try n sweep it off my back with my BARE hands, wat was i thinking??? okay, maybe when u r FREAKED OUT, u cant think properly anymore loh.. ok first 2 sweeps - MISS.. so it was still crawling around behind me.. 2nd attempt - BLOW, as if i have enough strength to blow it away haha.. to no avail, it was still there.. Now this was when i really really understand wat FREAKED OUT felt like - i was like out of my mind loh, just wanted to get rid of it so badly that i simply sweeped my back, this time it did came off.. n yes, according to wikipedia, it will sting u when they r ROUGHLY HANDLED.. got stung on my left middle finger, ouch.. i was frantically swinging my hands to get rid of the stupid bee, then it got finally got swung away, but onto my shirt this time, omg.. then i was flapping my shirt like a mad man la, then it finally came off.. n then i was like rushing back to my bro's room n quickly shut the door..

 

i wasnt thinking straight le, didnt know wat to do.. whether i would be allergy to the bee toxins.. mind not working, but luckily my bro still calm la, ask me call my aunt who is a nurse.. then she helped me asked a doctor loh.. my hand was red instantly..but no swelling la.. think maybe is because i keep swinging my arms non-stop, the bee couldnt sting deep enough.. according to wikipedia, 'The stinger should be removed as fast as possible without regard to method: studies have shown the amount of venom delivered does not differ if the stinger is pinched or scraped off and even a delay of a few seconds leads to more venom being injected'.. YES la, so lucky it din went in too deep (sometimes it is good being freaked out afterall hehe..).. after consulting the doc, he says i m fine cos no rashes or anything.. n no swelling too leh, phew..

 

haha after the excitement, i went down to the tv lounge to wait half an hour to see if any of the symptoms appear, but i was fine in the end, yippie.. quite an exhilarating experience, n quite funny to be jumping around outside the toilet, luckily noboody was around, if not sure very 丢脸 liao hehe..

 

oh ya, the bee died in the end, wahaha..

 

lucky lo, just slight redness only, n no swelling too, phew, means still can go penang play floorball le, yippie..

weather in Macao was that bad.. is it in the afternoon loh, n that is not mist. is haze!! cant even see the city loh, omg..

alot of 押店 here lo cos think many ppl lose til need sell their stuff.. this particular shop might change ur luck lol.. 必胜!!

Woke up at 4pm today, helped kah wai move his stuff to his new room at Ah Fang there around 6pm.. wah, after seeing his new place, think that we all should be very thankful to have rooms in halls loh.. not kidding lo, his rent is $230 la(considered very very cheap outside now le..) but ours roughly $190 only loh.. his room is maybe only half the size of my single room now lo, got 1 bed (without tilam), got 1 table (which is also half the size of my table), no internet.. the worst part is there r 4 ppl staying next to his room, n their only way to go out is thru his room!! Means he will be having ppl walking in n out of his room (although his is a single room =.=), no privacy liao lo.. but $230 is really consider very cheap liao la, 2 more months is our turn to move out le, think also scary lo.. outside rent will be more ex, food also more ex, need to get use to new environment too, haiz.. but luckily sharing with my frens la, if not it will be even worse lo.. need find job need find house, think 4 years in uni really become too protected le, now going out, have to start growing up le, haiz haiz..

 

So after moving his stuff, we went to eat our favourite KFC at City Harvest, only 5 minutes walk quite near loh.. the queue was ok la, but the service was super slow loh, tak boleh tahan lo.. short queue but still had to wait for a long time, wat the.. think u all know who r the cashiers le lo, haiz.. really cannot stand them lo, do things so slow, I order wat also can screw up 1, haiz.. no eye see.. how can ppl be so lazy n irresponsible 1 ar? this is ‘fast’ food loh, but they just like taking their own sweet time loh..

 

Was queuing (n cursing at the same time), but looking at them made me think back of the times in Coasters, Cedar Point.. damn shuang lo, can cook meat,  make burgers, cook fries, mini corndogs, make milkshakes, wah really missed it a lot loh.. n can work with frens even more shuang loh, got me n jv Malaysians, caris Theresa booonhua charlene Singaporeans, PJ Thailand, Ina Yanka Antoniya Didi Bulgarians, maria laura Columbians, arial Taiwan, super fun loh.. the international team, haha.. that time me n jv got switched to work in backline(make burgers n fries) during our second week, then our restaurant immediately jumped to number 1 in the whole theme park loh… aiya the Americans also very lazy 1 la, cannot stand them, just know how to order ppl do this do that, ownself do then cannot do properly, haiz.. got 1 time we international students purposely take same day off, in the end the whole restaurant was in a mess loh, dai sei la want bully us..

 

Haha, working in backline is much more fun than in frontline, can 偷吃 burgers fries milkshake, can relax when no orders, can chat with frens, dun need interact with customers.. but more oily n hot lo, n cooking the meat during peak hours can die also 1 loh.. lunch hours is also super stress cos always running out of meat de.. sometimes cook meat too raw/ overcooked also will get complained by customers.. but still very fun la can cook..

 

last year le, no more Work n Travel this time cos really no money liao haha.. n abit sien liao still go same places to travel.. but for those who haven’t been to this programme, really must try la, very fun de.. if not fun come find me, haha.. Ting yi will be leaving for Alaska this Sunday, envy him leh can go, think he will have lots of fun over there.. will miss him abit la, cos 1 person less to nag at me, haha… duno whether he will become fat when he comes back leh, wahaha.. Bon voyage la, tingyi~~

Wah, just came back from another tiring hall 12 floorball, will probably be my last few le, so have to cherish more, play til drop only leave haha.. But today I was more tired than usual cos I didn’t sleep the whole night!! Stayed up til morning then went out the whole day, only slept 1.5 hours after coming back in the evening and went straight for floorball, faint.. But overall it was a very happy day la, hehe..

 

After watching ManU beat Barca 1-0(thanks to Paul Scholes), the weather was so hot that I just couldn’t fall asleep.. so watched 没有玫瑰的花店 n 我猜 til 9am lo, then went out to print my FYP poster @Bugis.. I tot that I would be only meeting my 4 ka jies, jv n qinghao, but in the end, saw Hui ling, jing yao and lu qing too.. wah, like mini sbs gathering loh haha.. very happy to see my 4 ka jies, ali changed her hair style(which she thinks make her look cuter wo, hmm..), wy still the same lo (super blur when we collecting money, haha..), ling jie n 158 no change loh (158 still so er xin with jv as usual la, haha).. The most surprised is to see Hui ling lo, since the start of FYP we only met twice lo, so we had alot to talk today haha.. Btw, she is the only 1 among all of us to have found a job lo, pro dao, at Wyett some more lo, salary very high lo (although might need to work shifts la).. The other 9 of us all still jobless lo, haiz..

 

Went to Sunshine plaza to print our poster for next Tuesday’s presentation, $10 per poster so ok loh.. wah, Ali’s poster is the nicest among the 10 of us la, her pictures all so pretty n colorful, the rest of us de all so plain, haha.. Think she might win the best poster award next tues loh hehe.. Wah, we also met qiuyun n shu yuan n lee khim n xiao yun at sunshine plaza too lo (but they print at different shop la), small small world.. Ate lunch while waiting for our posters to be printed n went to eat the famous 豆花 nearby.. din know grass jelly also serve like 豆花 1 wo here in Singapore, it looks exactly like 龟ling膏(which ling liao ar?) loh=.=  shared 豆花 with huiling, she says she is getting fat?! Hmm, why gals always say they getting fat when they are all so skinny 1 ar? dun understand leh haha=.=

 

Collected our posters around 1 n it was about time to leave le.. the gals went shopping lo(except 158), me n jv came back hall lo, too tired le.. qinghao n jing yao still had to go back lab loh, sien diao.. think my poster not bad la, have to thank my mentor Dileep n supervisor Curt Davey too for their help lo.. I very cin cai 1, as long as nice n simple can le, dun need too fancy 1, so quite happy with mine lo haha.. today can meet my ka jies, huiling, n the other guys also very happy.. at night can play floorball also very happy..

 

But now really going to drop dead le, ZZZZZzzzzz… still need watch Chelsea-Liverpool later =.=

 

 

 

As kyo finished his last paper on Friday n there was the title-deciding Chelsea-ManU match on Saturday night, me, kyo, and sean decided to watch this match in a pub for fun lo haha.. before that, we had dinner at thai express($33.40).. then we made our way to DXO at esplanade.. open air lo, no air-con, but not bad la haha.. ordered a tower($39.80).. well, today the 3 of us were all Chelsea fans(although only sean was the real Chelsea fan, me(manU) n kyo(liverpool) were a Chelsea fan for the day cos we bet on them to win $51(cos we wanted to cover for the beer ma, haha).. after first half, we were smiling away le thanks to a nice header from Ballack, woohoo.. a full force Chelsea against an understrength ManU, shuang si.. so we decided to buy over 2 goals for the second half since both teams like quite attacking minded, so another $50 loh(wanted to cover for dinner ma, haha).. in the 2nd half Ronaldo came on, so we got abit scared.. but he didn’t need to do anything as carvalho gifted Rooney with a free chance to equalize, sien diao.. then we abit nervous le, cos needed Chelsea to score in order to win, then we were super lucky la, Carrick handball n Ballack stroke the ball coolly into the back of the net.. 2-1 but it was not safe yet(although already over 2 goals), 2 goal line clearances first from Ashley Cole and then Shevshenko(he play defense better la, haha..) really made our day.. final score 2-1~~ won $89.90~~ :)

 

Walked around boat quay n Clarke quay (din know there was a difference between the 2 quays), din know it was so happening 1 wo.. maybe I really lock myself up in hall too much le these 4 years, so seldom see the bustling side of town much.. saw belly dances, saw a restaurant with a ‘hospital’ theme, saw many ang mohs, saw many couples along the river stairs, I even saw sumiko (the columnist for The Sunday Times, she looks so different when she is not wearing her nike sponsored apparels haha..) with her bf lo=.= think now is her running season ba, cos she really slimmed down a lot le (maybe she will be running in the SunDown Marathon too??).. we still still thinking of whether to watch Liverpool or go back, with $16.70 left to spend we took a cab back home le, which cost $16.60.. 10 cents left~~ so basically we even earned 10 cents at the end of the day, hehe..

 

Although I m ManU fan, I still hope they dont win the EPL this seaon, come on chelsea~~ yes I m a traitor, cos I bought Chelsea to win the epl(odds 5) this season le, haha.. n liverpool(odds 23) to win Champions league.. last season, my prediction quite zhun de lo ok.. ManU odds 6.20 to win epl n real Madrid odds 11 to win Spanish laliga lo, hehe.. gogo Liverpool n Chelsea~~ sean also bought the same with me, so we hoping for the best liao, haha..  180 minutes left for both teams respectively to fight for honors this season competitions, if everything goes well, i will be happy loh, hehe..

 

haha, really zuobo these whole week, think tomolo will start doing my poster le.. here is something I wanted to blog for a long time since the end of floorball div1, but too busy with FYP le so had to wait til now to blog..

 

After the last match of the season, where we were relegated, I really felt like giving up.. again.. it’s not as if I never gave up b4 in my life.. twice to be exact.. once after primary.. once after high school.. when there is an up, there is always a down, think that is the way of life ba..

 

Primary(taekwondo)

When I first entered 冼都华小 in 1992 as a 7 year old, my mum enrolled me for taekwondo lessons.. First to learn some basic self defense, 2nd to stay healthy.. as a young kid, whatever ur parents gave u, u would just take it in, rite? Haha.. after first few lessons, I started to like it very much.. my coach was 1 of the best around, not just bcos he was a black belt 4th Dan, but bcos he thought us a lot about life.. tell us wat is right n wat is wrong, n never failed to motivate us.. so I started taking my trainings seriously n by primary 4, I was the fastest in my academy to get my black belt 1st Dan, hehe.. primary 4 was also the first time my coach let me take part in competitive tournaments.. with my 2 seniors, we trained hard for our first tournament, which was an international invitational, where the likes of power houses South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore came n compete as well.. n the 3 of us won gold in our first attempt!! yuhuu.. being the underdogs, we performed our taeguek 7 to near-perfection n beat teams from other countries, shuang lah.. I dedicate this victory to my mum n dad for their support all the way..

 

However, that was also the beginning of my down fall from this sport.. since that tournament, we became the favourites going into local tournaments, but we had never ever managed to get into the top 3 anymore, haiz.. very disappointing since we trained even harder than we did for our first tournament.. referee bias?? Really no idea.. Anyway, we still competed n gave our best, big thanks to my coach for having faith in us, n big thanks to my 2 seniors too!! The end of my career was when I was in primary 6, where my seniors graduated.. without my 2 best partners, I was lost, no partners, I didn’t take part in any tournaments le.. although I got my black belt 2nd Dan, by then the end already seemed inevitable, haiz..

 

Secondary(track & field)

1998 was the first year I entered 吉隆坡中华独中.. although there was the taekwondo club in school, I decided to try something different.. I was abit weird, cos I couldn’t think of training under a different coach or training with a different gang.. n dun have my 2 partners too, so sien diao le..

 

Ok, y I chose this n not the other sports? It was bcos of 1 person –张志清, aka ah ching, haha.. first time entering the 体育处, he was the most friendly teacher there, n he had a small chat with me.. that was when I knew he was in charge of the track & field team, so track & field it is.. should be nice to train under such a nice coach ba I tot.. the starting wasn’t smooth, as I was definitely not the most talented junior in the team.. so I got ‘throw’ to 110m hurdles(faster juniors would run the 100m or 200m).. never had such intense training b4 til then, so always had asthma after trainings, mum even had to take me to clinic a few times, sucks la.. doc asked me to stop, but I didn’t care, haha.. owe a lot to 锦耀( my 1st vice captain i've known) for encouraging me n saying I have the potential to train.. so I trained really hard n in my first 雪隆八独中运动会, I got selected to represent KL in the 全国独中运动会, happy happy.. I was the only 13yr old in the whole KL team, competing in the under 16 category, but after months of training, I manage to get 7th in the finals, yeah.. n that was when my track & field interest kicked off..

 

Sec 2 was when I was converted into a short D runner, abit static, not much progress.. sec 3 was my breakthrough year I think, thanks to 建茂(he ran for NTU too 4 years ago, hehe.. n is 1 of the top 5 long D runners in Singapore now..) for training n scolding me n for his grueling 课表 (most of us would vomit after his trainings cos really too exhausted le), but it paid off.. broke records in 200m, 400m, n 800m.. Sec 4 nothing much, sec 5 broke records for 200m n 400m, n my last year in high school, broke records for 400m, 400m hurdles, n triple jump(try for fun de, lol..).. the last year was my peak, where I also helped KL win gold in MSSM n national under19 championships for the 4x400m event, high dao bao la(at that time I was the only non-Bukit Jalil Sport School runner in the team)..

 

After graduating, I never trained with my group of 中华 runners le, cos leave school liao ma.. had to train on my own, no motivation liao lo.. although SUKMA was coming up, I was already on the down slide le..  trainings became lonely without my frens.. my form dipped so bad that I wasn’t even included in the 4x400m finals of SUKMA, haiz.. all time low le.. training under state coach mr khoo also seemed strange as I was used to trainings under Ah ching for so long.. aiya, I just didn’t know wat I was fighting for anymore, after SUKMA, I totally stopped training le..

 

University(floorball)

I still ran for NTU when I joined in 2004, but I hardly trained for the IVPs at all.. 1 or 2 days before IVP, just went down take my steps, then go n compete le.. the team din train tgt so I didnt really have very close frens like in 中华.. felt sien after 1st year, really no motivation to train le, that’s when me, hooi, guan saw a sport called 'floorball’..

 

My first encounter with floorball was when I played for SBS in ISG, where we got 2nd!! Got widhya, soak kuan, subhajeet, renchun, kah wai sure 2nd la, haha.. they asked me to play as a defender cos they said Joshua was very fast n was 1 of the best dribblers in NTU, so they just need me to run n defend him can le, hehe.. but I liked the pace of the game so took part in street challenge with Hooi(best defender), Guan(best forward), Shu Kai(best midfielder=.=), n Chien Ying(best goalie).. I was the ‘best substitute’ then, lol.. y we decided to try for IVP squad?? Cos we tot it was the easiest among all the sports after watching Hurricanes got trashed by Nhac Trec 23-1 when we passed by SRC one day, haha.. soli but this is the truth.. Me, Hooi, Vinny, Gerald, Senthil were drafted in as freshies for the 2006 IVP under Filip.. me n hooi nearly din make the team loh, heng(cos our suicide runs were among the fastest, phew..)~~ Filip was a good coach but not the best la(always laugh at me sarcastically, I wont forget de, haha..), the time I really started to improve was when Eddie was coach.. scored my first goal for NTU against Meridien JC, n that was when Eddie gave me my chance.. always motivated us during div2(hardly scold us lat all loh..) n always gave us pointers on how to improve, without him I might have given up on floorball long ago le.. besides that, also wanna thank Jamie for his patience, n the 2 best captains in the world – Kevin n Adrian Yeap.. in my first full season, scored 16 n 6 assists during div 2 n 4 goals 2 assist during 2007 IVP.. was really enjoying my game until..

 

2007 div1 where we fighting for relegation.. when we starting losing a few games, everybody just started blaming each other.. the whole team was all negative influences, not only during matches but during trainings as well.. I also kept getting scolded by my own team mates, haiz.. really disappointed.. in my 6 years in taekwondo n 6 yrs in 中华 track & field, no matter if we won or lost, we would only help each other n motivate each other, no scolding no criticizing no bad influences in the team, so for me this was just unacceptable.. the older we get the harder for us to think n act properly? Slowly lost the fire to fight for the team le, but still carried on as I still liked playing the game.. 2008 IVP n div1 I was all the way down hill le, never looked like returning to my best, n it was the end le..

 

 

N so that’s how I ended yet another chapter of my life.. another unhappy ending.. 3 ups n 3 downs all together.. all within my short short 16 years as a sportsman.. wat is there to look forward to in the future? Will I take up another new sport? I dun really know, but wat I know is I had a lot of fun in this 16 years, thanks everyone for everything~~ n I couldn’t have done it without support from my parents n brothers n friends along the way too, thanks thanks~~

hmm.. i tot i was the blurest person yesterday, but i was wrong as i found someone even more blur than me, haha..

 

ok, finally decided to start looking for a job.. went to jobstreet for the first time, so cin cai applied a few jobs.. went for my afternoon nap, 2 hours later i received a phone call from one of the companies.. still lying on bed, i answered the phone call..

 

1st Q: do u remember which post u applied for in our company?

1st R: err.. is it the 1 bout Life Sciences 1 ar? (she asked me, i asked her back, haha.. i applied quite a few ma, how i know which 1, but i SBS de ma, so my answer also not bad la rite, lol..)

2nd R: err.. not very sure wo haha.. (management trainee in life sciences?? neva heard b4 tim, how i know do wat de leh, lol..)

 

3rd Q: so then y did u apply for this post?

3rd R: actually, i anything also can de.. (gg liao, wat was i thinking!!)

 

4th Q? if still got 4th question, then is miracle liao la, haha..

 

IMMEDIATELY after 3rd R: ok we will review ur application n call u back, good bye.. (followed by the phone being hung up)

 

shitttt, an interview became like a casual conversation.. some more dare to laugh when answering =.= haha dun think i have to wait for their reply le la, i already know the result le, haiz.. how can i be so blur ar??? but this is my first time ma (excluding the SIA air steward walk-in interview), cant blame me also rite? lol.. maybe bcos i just woke up still blur? or is it bcos i always so blur? =.=

 

 

BUT i felt better later when i found somebody even more blur than me!!

 

he wears a red color jersey with number 6 on the back for a team that never walks alone, he came in as a substitute as his number 12 team mate got injured.. his team, aka the Reds were playing so well n was leading 1-0 in this first leg encounter.. for 93 minutes and 45 seconds, his team defended well against the blue team from london.. everything was going nicely until this number 6 decided to walk alone and do something so blur u wouldnt even imagine.. soccer rite? can use legs n other parts of the body rite? except the hands la.. so with wat was possibly the last attack from the blue team, a cross came into the 6 yard area and he was nearest to the ball..

 

for a normal defender who is not blur, low cross coming in, sure use leg n clear la rite? ok this number 6 decided to be different, 'y not try heading it out?' n so he did try USING HIS HEAD =.= n guess wat? he scored!! with HIS HEAD!! n it was an OWN GOAL!! faint.. walao, me n kyo were just saying 'aiya should be safe liao la' then that blur blur guy gave us a shock of our lives, zzz.. use ur leg la, alamak.. if left 1 cannot, use right leg la, y use head?! (dun understand how kyo can still like his liverpool so much, wahaha..)

had been playing 3-4 rounds of dota at jv's room today le, really zuobo dao, lol.. so at night when it was kah wai's turn to play, i really couldnt stand watching le, so i decided to go jogging again loh.. but no 灵感 where to jog, so jogged the same route as i did last week, only this time the other way round.. first 199 route out of ntu, then reach jp, then 199 route back into ntu lo.. yesh!! 52 minutes, improved le.. keep thinking things along the way so didnt quite enjoy my run though, haha..

 

hmm, tot bout dota when i was jogging (really too much dota lately)=.= i realised that no matter how many games i play, my assist is always higher than my kills.. it doesnt matter if i m using a damager(suppose to have the highest kills eventually), tanker or spell caster, it is always assists higher than kills.. maybe it's the way i m ba lately, and this is not only for dota, even in floorball i also have this tendency not to score, but to assist..  hmm, maybe ppl would say y so stupid assist when u can score the goals or get the kills?

 

haha, i think the beauty of assist is the satisfaction in making that important pass or helping a team mate kill an opponent and then sharing the glory together.. eg if u took the ball dribble dribble n score, it would be ur personal glory; but if u took the ball dribble dribble n pass for ur team mate to score, the joy would be shared by 2 n not 1 person, right?

 

however, an assist would normally go unnoticed as the goals r the ones remembered most of the time, so ur work might not always be appreciated.. but without these players sacrificing personal glory for the team, do u think a team can play well n win?

NBA playoffs is back!!! think houston will suck again, haiz.. btw, houston's 22 winning streak achieved this season (also second longest in nba history) was not because Tracy Mcgrady took everything upon himself, but bcos he got his team mates more into the game n everyone scored for the team.. unlike when he used to be the only 1 scoring, he passed more during these 22 games.. see how big the difference can be?

 

LA lakers, top of the western conference this season, y? with Kobe bryant trusting his team mates more by passing to open players, the lakers just seem unstoppable (57wins-25loses)at the moment.. compared to last season(42-40), where everything was just about Kobe(Kobe even managed to score 81 points in a single game), but where did they end up? 7th.

yuhuu, just read finished 'The Pact' by Jodi Picoult.. another great book by Jodi i think, it's my 3rd time reading her stuff le, other than 'My sisters keeper' and 'Nineteen minutes' (which were both equally nice btw)..

 

ok, so the story is about 2 青梅竹马-Chris and Emily, who had known each other since they were babies n had basically spent their whole lives together (as they were neighbours, same school, same class).. their relationship evolved from brother-sister to being lovers, a couple, when they were 13, n they were madly in love with each other, as if they were inseparable.. both families were very close to each other, until 1 day - when Emily was found shot in the head with Chris as the only person at the crime scene.. it was first tot that this could be a double suicide attempt, but further investigations showed otherwise n Chris was charged with first degree murder.. things fell apart betwen both families n Chris' life was torn apart.. so was emily really suicidal or was she murdered by her true love?? or could there be something more to it than that? hmm, cant tell la if not become spoiler le haha..

 

anyway, the lesson or question raised in this novel is - how far r u willling to go for ur true love.. when u really love someone, will u do whatever it takes to make her happy even if u know it's wrong to do so?? or will u choose to do wat u think is right ethically but which might be against her will?? when put under these situations, how would u know which choice is the 'right' decision to make leh??

 

maybe i still dun really understand wat 'true love' is, so i would probably say i'll do the right thing ethically.. but if u r truely madly deeply in love with someone, will u still think like this?? or would u do wat is best for her/him even though it is wrong ethically??

yippie~~ woohoo~~ thesis submitted le, now only left poster presentation on the 6th of May, wahaha~~ no classes n exams this semester, hmm seems abit weird, actually i kinda missed going to lectures (or more like skipping lectures haha), missed sleeping during lectures (compete with jv see who sleep longer), can always gap lui (that's y i always sit at the back hehe), can do lab with frens (FYP only 1 person do alone, so sien), can have more exciting gossips (now everybody different lab, got diffferent life le) etc la.. whole sem FYP only, although quite fun, but still not as fun as going to school loh..

 

ok, so yesterday after submitting my thesis, came back room watched movie loh, then bo liao so went jv's room DOTA -.-(my com really sucks haha), then came back room watch movie again, then sleep, then wanted to watch movie again after waking up, but felt really bored liao, so i decided to go for a JOG, wahaha..

 

ok asked a few ppl whether wanna jog, but seems like everybody busy revising, so in the end i ran alone loh.. hmm duno y i so stupid, after so sien jogging around ntu campus for 4 years, i still only jog around the campus, until the last time jogged out to discovery center with kyo, xiaohong n nana, then only found out jogging outside was so much more fun.. SunDown marathon coming le, so decided to train abit, target 1 hour non-stop la for a start(not bad la since i m a short distance runner, hehe)..

 

so i started at hall 14, then jogged along 199 til NIE then along 179 up to SBS, then Yunnan garden, then pioneer road junction.. hmm normally i would just jog straight back to hall, but ok la maybe wanna try jogging out again n go back room also really nothing to do le, so I TURNED RIGHT.. woohoo, ok then i was thinking jog til where leh, hmm.. b4 i could even make up my mind, i've already reached jurong west sports hall le, so I TURNED LEFT to JP, yuhuu.. jogged pass JP, then might as well come back along 199 route, haha.. yup so i came back by 199 route lo, n finally reached hall 14.. legs abit wobbly, hands abit 酸, but very HIGH leh, shuang shuang~~

 

took me around 55 minutes to finish the whole route, quite fun for an 1-hour run i think haha.. anybody interested can try try lo, really shuang, but must do it late at night la, probably pass 1130, less cars ma, if not quite troublesome need stop alot along the way.. yes so for those joggers in NTU, or even if u seldom jog, can try this route la, hehe.. jogging outside wont feel so tired leh, n not so boring also, scenery keep changing all the time, so it is much much better than jogging in campus lo i think.. oh n if anyone has other routes to recommend please tell me ya, thanks thanks..

 

oh, btw, 'run fat boy run' is a funny n relaxing movie, nice nice, suitable for exam period watching, hehe.. Jia you to those who have exams la, very fast over de, gambade la!!

(except Tom la, cos his gf went for a swim n Tom is always happy to have some free time by himself haha) daniel (far right) said he is going to meet up with her gf to accompany her study, Theresa (in the middle) is going to suntec IT far with her bf, Caris (2nd from right) is going shopping with her bf, and so ony left Tom who doesnt need to accompany gf so accompany me lo, haiz... even jiavei also not single le leh, -.- CP gang really left me still not having another half leh, haiz... din realised til today, wth...

 

maybe i will hold the record for being single the longes in CP gang liao lo, haiz ask u all dun call me mr casanova liao la, now i really the only 1 let still being lonely arggghhhhhhhhhhh.... haizzzz....
